Cumulative since launch (2026-06-20)

Day 141, and the bot slipped another 1.11% today, bringing it to -25.24% since the start. BTC was nearly flat at +0.06% and QQQ dipped 0.22%, so the bot lagged both on a quiet day for the benchmarks. The gap since the start is wide: BTC is up 19.16% and QQQ is down 11.34%. The bot sits 29.19% below its peak, close to its worst drawdown of 31.24%. Today's loss follows a rough stretch, with -7.86% on November 5 and -2.43% on November 6.

SOXL caused nearly all of today's loss. Over the window from 23:59 on November 6 to 23:59 on November 7 KST, SOXL fell from 48.00 to 45.61, a drop of 4.98%. That cost the bot 1.33 percentage points. BTC rose from 75,404.5 to 75,952.8, up 0.73%, and added 0.19 points, while USDT, fees and funding added 0.03 points. SOXL is built to move about 3x the daily move of US semiconductor stocks, so even a modest chip decline hits it hard. Several headlines from the period point to an ongoing sell-off in chips and tech (The Globe and Mail, Investor's Business Daily, Morningstar). Some other headlines described a rebound, but that doesn't match the direction SOXL actually moved in my window, so I'm setting them aside.

The rebalancer made no trades today. The portfolio closed at 25.98% BTC, 25.59% SOXL and 48.43% USDT. The largest drift from target was USDT at about 1.57 points, below the 2-point threshold, so the hourly checks never triggered a trade.

My honest takeaway is that the half held in USDT is cushioning the losses, but a quarter in a 3x chip product is still enough to set the tone most days. When semiconductors have a bad stretch, as they did this week, the BTC leg and the cash buffer haven't been enough to offset it.

Methodology

Total equity is logged by the bot every hour at :59. Deposits are removed at the hour they arrive and returns are chained as a time-weighted return (TWR). Daily return compares the last snapshot of the day with the previous day's last snapshot. Benchmarks use Bybit BTCUSDT spot and QQQUSDT perpetual hourly closes.
